Party Format

  • First 5-10 minutes is for instructions and gearing up the players.
  • Our games are typically around 10-15 minutes long, but could vary with objectives.
  • Players can change up equipment or take breaks as needed between games.
  • Most hosts arrange for food or cake before or after the laser tag. You may need a longer time slot if you want to take a long food break in the middle.

Game Types

  • I only use the game types that are sure to be the most fun for all players.
  • These mission types have been perfected over thousands of parties before yours.
  • I use a progression of 2 or 3 game types for most parties, depending on what is best for your group of players and battlefield location.
  • The Game Master guides the process so there is no disagreement, only great fun.

Public Parks

  • If you do not have a suitable yard for your party you might consider using a public park.  Small neighborhood parks seem to work best.
  • The responsibility of making arrangements for use of the park belongs to the customer.  I am not responsible if authorities shut down your party.  This is very rare, but worth mentioning.  I recommend that you seek permission to use the park, which may require a permit or pavilion rental.
  • I have set up at more than a hundred parks across several states.  Here are some that have worked well: Wood Acres Park - Bethesda MD, CF Smith Park - Arlington VA,  Fort Bayard Park - Washington DC.

GROUP EVENT FORMAT

  • Game Master efficiently briefs and gears up each group.
  • Games should be 6-12 minutes long, plus time for swapping out players between games. 
  • Deactivated players simply go to their base to be reactivated so everyone gets to play for the full game time.
  • I need access to the battlefield one hour before and after for setup/packup.
  • Most events are simply open play with no need for a tournament format, but you can pre-schedule the games ahead of time if it meets yours needs better.

Recommended number of hours based on total number of players (16 Blasters):  2 Hours = 33-120 players.  2.5 Hours = 40-150 players.  3 Hours = 60-180 players.  4 Hours = 80-240 players.  5 Hours = 100-300 players.  6 Hours = 150-400 players.  7 or 8 Hours = 200-500 players.
